Update

My weekend was pretty full on. Again. But that’s cool because I’m here on holidays anyway and it’s fun. So there.
I’m still at Dave’s place but everybody is out working so I steal the internet on last time before I pack and leave (not that there is much packing to be done today).
Probably the worst part of the whole weekend was that I forgot to take my camera ANYWHERE! *le sigh* I really have to work on my camera presence. =P
Friday was a fine day. I left the house to go to Games club, got distracted by the awesomeness of the waterfront and went on a walk along there. Me very happy! I soooooooo should have had my camera though. Oh well…
Then I remembered that Anarchangel was rumored to make an appearance, I checked it and true, he planned to be there. Though he denies it and says that his plans were set before he knew, I think he mainly did it because neither Naomi nor me wanted to bet if he would be there or not. We thought chances were 20% but…nothing to bet on. =P So he proved us wrong.
I was the first to arrive despite my walk along the waterfront so I was talked into a game of Family business with Hayden and Mr. Odd Guy. *hm* The oldest player starts…Mr. Odd Guy looked at the two of us and said “I don’t know who of you that would be.” I looked at Hayden and he said “Well’ I’m 20.” … … … I just started. *cough* I won the first game. Anarchangel arrived, we played again and his Murder Inc. managed to get themselves killed within two turns. *lol* I won again.
Then we played bang for a while, lunch money and gother than thou. A whole lot of card games basically because we were all too lazy to get to learn new rules of boardgames. Lunch money was fun. Naomi was pretty evil (which is exactly what you should be in that game) and I learnt a whole new set of shiny fight words. *LOL*
Both, Naomi and Anarchangel, disappeared at around 4.30-5ish so I went to the library amd read the next 30 pages. I’m getting there. Now I’m through 2/3 of the first book. =)
Went down to the railway station where Matt was picking me up for the 4ed D&D game at Mat’s. He was late and he was Seth-less. It was the first time I’ve seen him Seth-less for more than 3 minutes. Yeah, he’s hyperactive. Even in a car. If he’s not drumming on the steering wheel, then he’s whistling or jiggering his legs. And he still manages to have a conversation through all of that. Somehow I have a really hard time picturing him as a teacher…
Anyway, 4ed was good. Very fighty because basically that’s what has changed, the fight rules, roleplaying doesn’t have rules. 😉 It took me quite a while to get back into it as it’d been two weeks since the last time but the second fight was very quick when we had a grasp of it again. I need to play more in my character though. I’m never a front line fighter but ALL my characters seem to end up there frequently. So this time, my cleric played frontliner. O.o Which resulted in me having to use all my healing surges. A cleric doesn’t have the AC nor the HP to do that. *hm*
The real fun though was that Matt drank almost a whole bottle of coke himself. Hyperactive + sugar = bad. It’s why you don’t give Zak sugar. It’s why Duncan hits the ceiling after Strawberry Fare. Sugar makes people hyper (except for me) and it makes hyperactive people…you can imagine…whoa! *lol* Next time he’s not allowed to drink anything with sugar in it.
The way back was okay, I got home safely though he admitted himself that he wasn’t exactly the safest driver. He would go fast, go fast around corners and basically pretend to be on a motorbike…at least it felt exactly like that. He had to slow down on the motorway once because two cars where almost standing on the lanes, and then took off with high speed and a disgusting smell…bloody boyracers. =P

Saturday was another really nice day which I spent outside in the sun. I briefly met Mat, Liz, Wu and Squig when I passed the waterfront near Te Papa. Reading in the sunshine is my favourite activity right now. When it got to cold, I went to Espressoholic to continue. The moment I sat down with my large hot chocolate, Blaise, Ida and Natasha entered. =D Blaise was happy to see me again and I got a hug. =D (Sometimes it’s good for my ego, you know. =P Especially from a person who is said to hate almost everyone. =P) So Blaise and I caught up. He’s so funny! *lol* But yeah…he introduced me to Natasha and then Ida sat down…”don’t have to introduce you two because you know Nina way better than I do.” – “Well, you could try.” – “Alright then. Nina, this is Ida. She was the brides maid at a fake wedding.” *Ida’s sweet smile and a wave* “Ida, this is Nina. She’s a roleplayer.” *ROFLOL* I did crumble somewhere underneath the table. *gg* Those two just mock the crap outta me for being a roleplayer. Though they said, it’s okay, everybody is allowed to have a dirty secret as long as I don’t turn into a furry. O.o *LOL*
Shortly before 8 they went to the movies and asked if I wanna join but I took the bus to Paula’s birthday party. Which was very funny cause I sat between Simeon and Mike Foster for a long time and also we watched the Olympic games and the best night for NZ EVER. I think they got 5 medals or so. *gg* Very, very cute how involved kiwi people are when they have a chance for a medal. =P
Also, fire stuff was going on again, this time a bit rougher than at Naomi’s burning bedlam. I love it a lot because it looks just so awesome but people were a bit more drunk this time, I think. =P Matt set his hair on fire, Naomi singed her hair as well, Hamish burnt his arm and Paula was good. *gg* She and Naomi also breathed fire this time with Sam (who didn’t play with fire this time) shouting at Naomi to tie her hair back. *lol*
Hamish invented new drinks that evening and they just sounded disgusting. *LOL* I took a sip of Naomi’s Marmitini and it tasted disgusting as well. *LOL* Some time shortly before people would head to the pub to watch the rugby game, Naomi hit me in the face. With a tea towel! She was aiming for Hamish but she got me straight in the face. OUCH! *LOL* You know how you can flick towels at people? Yeah, like that. The sound effect wasn’t too bad either. =P Nothing really happened other than me having a really really red cheek.
Rugby turned ut to be a bit difficult as The Realm was closed and we had to walk through the tunnel to get to Cambridge where it was on. The All Blacks won and at 3am, I said bye to people to go home.
As things turned out to be, I didn’t sleep but spent hours at the internet cafe and then more hours at the beach. *lol*
Sunday at noon, Wargs was on and I went. Apparently, roleplaying after a being up all night is not too bad. I had fun. I just felt sorry for Grant cause *I* had the feeling that I yawned at him all the time. *gg* And that I wasn’t very talkactive.
Got home around 4pm, went to bed at 5pm and up again at 7pm, to not completely fuck up my sleeping habits. Talked to Molly, watched the Olympic games (okay, don’t think I can remember much of it but I wasn’t asleep) and then Dave and his brother got home. Dave was very sorry, so that’s all good. And guess what: I got a spare key last night. *ROFLOL* “So at least you’re gonna be safe for the last 24h. I’m just glad you’re still in one piece.” Yeah…kiwis…first he doesn’t worry at all…and then he’s overprotective again. O.o
I ignored Danny and he avoided me…at least I think. I still was semi-conscious so I’m not sure. But I remember a cat suddenly appearing in the flat. I patted it and it clawed my knee quite badly. *LOL*
Maybe I was asleep on the couch while watching the Olympics cause I don’t remember Dave and Danny taking off for bed but somehow only Molly and Lydia were left when I next remember things. O.o However, got to go to bed at 11 and had a solid 12 hours of sleep. =) I’m good again. I think I’ll miss Molly though…she’s cool.

Random thing that came up and I found remarkable: Becky, Naomi and I talked about roleplaying some time. Becky witnessed about half of Hamish’s game because we played at her place (duh! *lol*). And she told me that she was impressed because she normally knows girls who are a lot quieter at the table than the guys whereas I seemed to be as much a part of it as Nick. Maybe that was because we were only two players. This is basically a contradiction to my impression of the game. *lol* It’s not that I don’t think I participated enough (I did) but I remember being really tired one time when Nick had to make up a lot and struggling with the language the last time we played so I found I wasn’t as talkactive as I am in games in Germany. *LOL*
And it always strikes me as weird if people don’t think I’m quiet. I *know* I’m not that quiet anymore but I was for half my life so yeah…I think it’s funny. *gg*
